Last night Andrew Warner of Mixergy hosted an event at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. The event consisted of a panel of speakers talking about ways to bring traffic to your website or blog.

The first speaker was Michael Dorausch of PlanetChiropractic.com – Michael spoke about different ways you can use Google Trends to increase your traffic by using popular keywords.

The second speakers were Andy Sorcini (also known as Mr. Babyman, one of the three top diggers on Digg.com) & Elmer Thomas (Professional Blogger and Owner of Thembid.com) – They spoke on using social networks like Digg.com, Sphinn.com, Propeller.com and many others to increase traffic and gain links to your website or blog.

The third and final speakers were from a popular Los Angeles PR firm: Blue SEO.com. They spoke about using Organic SEO and using keywords to increase traffic.

Organic Search Engine Optimization is the SEM term for unpaid high ranking results on search engines. Organic SEO, also known as “natural” SEO, is juxtaposed with Pay Per Click advertising campaigns. The Organic SEO method involves complete optimization of the company’s Website and long term investment in building up towards top search engine results that will last a long time.
