Job Description:

(Job ID BE665425) With a series of best-selling hit releases, our client has built a reputation as a premier developer of innovative, award winning games for all major platforms.

They are looking for an experienced gameplay engineer who has a proven track record of producing high-quality gameplay systems and can collaborate with others to iteratively improve them.

Responsibilities:

• will create technical design for major gameplay system
• will engineer gameplay system and iterate towards AAA quality
• will play games regularly and know latest gameplay innovations
• will work with project creative director/lead designer collaboratively
• will provide constructive feedback to other engineers within gameplay group

Qualifications:

• must have several years experience of developing gameplay systems
• must be capable of working independently on a gameplay system and enhancing system based upon feedback
• must have excellent 3D math skills (linear algebra, matrices, etc…)
• must have excellent C++ and OOP skills
• must play games regularly and know latest gameplay innovations
• must have 5+ yrs programming experience in C / C++
• must be able to collaborate well with engineers and content creators (artists, designers and animators)
• must have a clear understanding and appreciation of schedules and milestones
• must have a B.S. in Computer Science or a distinguished college course list in relevant fields
• must have good oral and written communication skills
• must be able to focus and work without micro-management
• must have willingness and ability to operate within a true team-oriented atmosphere; direction from other disciplines, i.e., Design.
• must have 360/PS3 experience
• should have knowledge of next-gen animation systems
• should have ability to develop gameplay tools for content creators
