Job Title: Graphic Designer

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a top-notch graphic designer to join their team. Their design needs include visual products for business & marketing collateral, presentations, and promotional items, across both print and online/interactive mediums. Ideal candidates have a startup mentality, are detail-oriented, and have a discerning eye for color, typography, and layout. You are able to design like David Carson but get straight to the point with Tufte-like restraint when needed.

Responsibilities:

· will design digital and print marketing and promotional collateral like flyers, posters, brochures, and other marketing/advertising material as required

· will create presentation charts, graphs, and diagrams

· will design Power Point templates

· will design concepts and templates for internal and external websites

· will create HTML and CSS for design implementation

· will work with other functional units to foster unified branding & consistent design

· will work on other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· must have a bachelor’s degree with 3 or more years of professional experience as a designer with a portfolio that includes print and interactive work as well as informational graphics and presentation layouts

· must have an understanding of interactive/web medium design limitations

· must be detail-oriented, hands on, and self-motivated

· must have a good typography and text layout skills

· must have proven understanding of printing process and technology

· must have experience managing print vendors including job sourcing and pricing

· must have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) and Microsoft Office

· must have experience building standards based HTML/CSS pages. Javascript, Flash, and Ajax experience a plus

· must exhibit stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and balance beauty, innovation and usability
