They are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer/Scientist to be a member of a small team of senior researchers and engineers working on advanced developments in the Web Search Engine Relevance area. Responsibilities:

• will be working with a small team of distinguished senior researchers and engineers on advanced developments in the Web Search Engine Relevance area

Qualifications:

• must be a top-notch specialist in Web Search Engine Relevance (content, ranking, ranking features, tree.net, RankNet, boosting, text mining, etc.)
• must have made a significant contribution to a major Web Search Engine in the past
• must have experience in active learning and machine learning
• must be a former member of a major Search Engine Relevance Team
• must have prior work experience at Google, Yahoo!, Alta Vista, MSN Search, Ask Jeeves, or any other substantial Web Search Engine product/project.
• should like to things with your own hands and be actively involved
• should have worked in an advanced technical/research position in the past
• should have had a management stint as a Manager/Director (overseeing overall architecture and multiple projects) and would like to go back to being an individual contributor
