Responsibilities:
- will ensure the consistent, reliable, and scalable operations of our client’s service
- will provide 99.99% uptime of the service for tens of millions of users
- will assist in making purchasing decisions and managing vendor relationships for 3rd party hardware, software, and networking systems
- will provide forecasting and analysis of company’s service operational needs (hardware/software)
- will be a vital Senior member of the Operations team (2-5 Sr. Operations Engineers / Network and Unix Administrators)
- will assist in recruiting, hiring, and training Sr. Operations Engineers
- will develop systems for instrumentation, measurement, monitoring, and analysis of the health and reliability of the service
- will be the senior member of a team that will respond and troubleshoot all Hardware / Software / Networking issues that come up 24×7x365
- will help design, build, and scale all software
- will work closely with the Server Engineering team to understand the product as its being developed
- will own all production configuration and deployment tasks
- will automate the operations of the service
Qualifications:
- must have 2-3 years management or lead experience
- must have strong expertise in UNIX/Linux systems
- must have strong TCP/IP Networking experience
- must have scripting/programming expertise
- should have strong metrics gathering/analysis skills
- must have experience with a variety of H/W products (firewalls, routers, servers, etc.)
- must have MySQL installation and configuration experience, and be able to administer at scale
- must be extremely organized and accountable
- must have excellent communication skills
- must have experience designing, building, operating and scaling a consumer internet service from scratch for tens of millions of customers
- must have a BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent

Job Description:
Our client is hiring a Website Data Analyst who will be responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing web site and application data to advance our understanding of the behavior of visitors and customers on our client’s web sites and how to optimize site design, flows, and content. This position will work with internal departments to define, develop, and deliver site reporting and analysis that informs strategic and tactical decision-making related to their site, products, marketing, and overall business efforts.
Responsibilities:
- will work with Product, Engineering, and Business groups to define and develop reporting and analysis based on key performance indicators and metrics in order to optimize product offerings, marketing campaigns, site content and functionality
- will proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve web site effectiveness by drilling into click stream and application data
- will maintain dashboards and general reporting activities
- will develop best practice approaches for analyzing user behavior on the web site(s), for configuring web analytics technology, and for interpreting data
- will participate in web site projects as a measurement and analytics expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation, and evaluating post-launch metrics
- will contribute to the product definition and requirements to ensure analytics requirements are understood, documented, and built into our client‘s products and features
- will conduct ad-hoc data analysis
Qualifications:
- must have a BA or BS with strong analytical skills
- must have experience as a Data Analyst or equivalent
- must have basic-level SQL skills
- must have 1-3 years experience with Web Analytics tools preferred (Google Analytics Omniture)
- should have Ruby on Rails experience
- must have experience with multivariate or AB (split) testing
- must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
