We are currently looking for a Designer to join the company’s highly progressive creative team to work on web/print design for the company’s website, brand & marketing efforts. This person will also spend time designing, building and maintaining the company’s online products and marketing collateral. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in both print and web mediums and a passion for creative design. Individual must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with design team members and with other departments. Must be resourceful and able to understand the full breadth of how the company operates. Individual must be a creative thinker, detail-oriented, confident and able to express ideas in an articulate, well thought-out manner. Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines is a must.
Education/Experience/Knowledge
- BA or BFA degree in Graphic Design preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years professional design experience in both web and print mediums
- Agency experience a huge plus
- Must have excellent typographic and conceptual design skills; a portfolio of print and web design examples required
- Must have ability to demonstrate familiarity with critical concepts specific to both print production and web production
- Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash and Image Ready/Fireworks required
- Solid presentation skills
- Understanding of information architecture
- Illustration skills a plus
- eCommerce experience preferred but not required
- Macintosh OS X proficiency required
