Get Involved – WebMadness, Open-Source Projects, Coding Competitions and Conferences

As most of you know the BINC Web Madness Competition is up and running.  Employees at participating companies are now working hard to develop web applications chartered with improving the connectivity between volunteers and non-profits all around the world.

If you are not one of the 8 participating companies in WebMadness (Facebook, Slide, Zynga, Expedia, Amazon, Apple, EA, Expedia) you can still do your part to make society a better place and at the same time showcasing your genuine passion for your craft by dedicating your time to an unpaid effort.  Such unpaid efforts include open-source projects, coding competitions, other trade competitions, trade-specific conferences, blogging, etc.

By going above and beyond your normal call of duty you are adding value to your career that will be noticed by your current and potential employers.

 Value gained:

  • Gets you great exposure and directly grows your professional network
  • Stretches and grows your skillset

Check out this BINC TV episode to hear how our little competition not only benefits charity but can assist in your overall career progression.
